Attending the 41st Lister Annual Fellows Meeting

I was delighted to attend the 41st Lister Annual Fellows Meeting, held at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, on 10–11 September 2026, as a 2026 Lister Research Prize winner.

It was a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow Lister researchers, hear about exciting research across different areas of biomedical science, and exchange ideas with colleagues from across the Lister community.

I was honoured to present our work on “A ‘Gluey’ Beginning: Investigating Alpha-Synuclein Condensates to Uncover Early Parkinson’s Mechanisms,” exploring how alpha-synuclein condensates may contribute to the earliest stages of Parkinson’s disease.

A particular highlight was hearing the presentations from the other 2026 Lister Prize winners and the Special Lister Lecture by Professor Sir Adrian Bird.

I am very grateful to the Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine for this award and for bringing together such an inspiring scientific community. It was a memorable meeting and an exciting start to this new chapter of our research.
